Well I have to admit that these blogs were pretty annoying, and have been very hard to keep up with. I've been late with a couple of these Posts, but I did get them done (take that into consideration). Aside from it being somewhat inconvenient, I will admit that it has "value."
I think this has allowed us to get to know eachother a little better. We have been able to write how we feel about cerain aspects of the class, while also being able to write anything else we want. It also gave us a chance to voice our opinions when other students in the class would not allow us to, as well as being more clear and concise with time to think about what we want to say. With the somewhat open-ended questions about class activities, I was able to think about what was done in class and get the most out of the activity. By being able to "think outside of the box," so to speak. I was able to look deeper into the activity to see what it was that the Professor was trying to teach us.
I highly doubt that I will continue to post onto this blog after the semester is over. But I will definitely keep it in the back of my mind

Vision With No Action by Kevin Calderon
Vision With No Action
by Kevin Calderon
What happens to Vision with No Action?
Does it fail
Like a future-less vision?
Or fall short
Like a leader-less position?
Does it soar like an Eagle in the sky?
Or survive 24 hours
Like an annoying fly?
Maybe it just sits lifeless
Like a statue
I'll be an Actor in My Vision...
How 'bout you?

My Management "Type"
So according to the leadership/diagnostic conducted in class, I am a C high I. The C stands for Conscientious and the I stands for Influence. In essence, my emphasis is on working conscientiously within existing circumstances to ensure quality and accuracy while also putting an emphasis on shaping the environment by influencing or persuading others. So to make it a little more clear, before I start on any project I like to gather as much information as I can in order to complete the project efficiently and accurately while influencing my teammates to follow my mindset. According to this diagnostic, that is.
I have to say that this test did, indeed, accurately guage management/leadership type. Ever since I took this test, I've realized just how much this applies to me. Even when it comes to going out with a friend or making plans. I have to know exactly where we're going and how we're getting there. I don't feel comfortable otherwise.
I do feel that it is possible to become another type, but that would mean changing and most of the time it is best to "Be Yourself" so I am not sure how effective the change would be. For this reason, I am happy with my diagnostic result.
I don't really know how effective it is to determine someone's management type through this test because after spending some time with someone you will eventually get an idea of what kind of person he/she is.
